Chicken Kiev 350g

Chicken Kiev is a classic dish consisting of a breaded, thinly pounded boneless chicken breast filled with garlic butter. It is traditionally served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The dish was invented by French chef Nicolas Francois Appert in the early 1800s, although it did not get its name from the capital of Ukraine. Russian chefs tried to imitate the dish, calling it "cotelettes de volaille" instead of Chicken Kiev, but early restaurants in New York City changed the name back to Chicken Kiev to attract new Russian immigrants, and the name stuck.
